Kelly and Business Trends

Kelly Services acquired Asia's premier staffing company, Business Trends, in 2000.

Business Trends was originally established in 1979 to provide temporary staffing assistance in Asia. Its portfolio of services grew to include staffing support services, temporary, permanent and contract placements, training support, payroll administration as well as executive sourcing and search.

Kelly Services is a Fortune 500 company offering human resources solutions that include temporary services, staff leasing, outsourcing, vendor on-site and full-time placement. With more than 2,500 company owned and operated offices in 26 countries, Kelly provides its customers nearly 800,000 employees annually, with skills including office services, accounting, engineering, information technology, law, science, marketing, light industrial, education and health care. Sales in 2003 were US$4.3 billion.

In Asia, Kelly Services, has 24 offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, and Thailand. Its temporary help units place approximately 10,000 temporary workers each year in Singapore and Malaysia.

Kelly Services also operates a leading Asian search and selection company - BTI Consultants - which was started in 1993. BTI Consultants continues to operate under its original name in Singapore, Malaysia, India, Indonesia and Thailand.
